Here Comes the Front

The chilly air I have been discussing is on the way for this weekend. Image above shows the approaching front Friday night. Notice the trough in the Jet Stream over the lakes. A big low pressure system is developing along that trough and going to result in a big storm north of the great lakes in Canada.

It might not be ready for snow down here yet, but north of the lakes there will be enough cold air from this polar surge to produce a substantial snowstorm for that region..

Light snow is also likely to fly over northern Wisconsin and Minnesota from this approaching system. 

Our area will not be that cold obiously, but we will see highs on Sunday struggle to break 60 and lows in the lower 40's
